Bullying educators who don’t support a Big Pharma agenda is a state-wide trend

Three elementary school teachers in Oregon were let go due to an unprecedented teacher shortage.

Kelly Lundy, Zachary Webb, and Mark Schulz are being fired for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine and not filing religious exemption forms. The Bend-La Pine School District school board voted 6 to 0 in unanimous agreement to terminate these teachers.

The Pacific Northwest is in Desperate Need of Qualified Teachers

According to the Seattle Times and Oregon Public Broadcasting, severe teacher and staff shortages are being faced in both Washington and Oregon. In truth, schools all over these states are battling to fill vacancies. Both types of schools, public and private, are struggling to find applicants for open positions, as well as retaining current teachers, support staff, and volunteers.

Not only are there significant shortages of teachers and high-level administrators in Oregon public schools, but the state also has unmet needs for bus drivers, custodians, office workers, educational assistants, and community and parent classroom helpers.

Hundreds of Vacancies Across the State

Last month, the Vancouver Public Schools in Southwest Washington announced they had a total of 175 vacancies, while the Reynolds School District in Fairview , Oregon reported 131 openings and Portland Public School had 93 unfilled positions. These statistics are especially concerning given that the state of only has four million inhabitants!

In Ashland, Oregon- where we resided for almost 20 years- they said it plainly. The school district explained that they were “facing staffing shortages like we’ve never seen before.”

The Real Reason Teachers Are Leaving

At the same time, mainstream liberal media outlets are choosing to ignore the real reason so many teachers are leaving both public and private education in these nanny states.

According to these sources, the primary reasons are inadequate pay and a lack of benefits. I find this hard to believe, given that my daughter’s kindergarten teacher made more money than her husband – who was a college professor! From what I have personally observed, starting salaries seem high and benefit packages quite generous.

So what is the cause of all this?

I’ve worked as a part-time educator in Oregon for nearly two decades, across elementary-, middle-, and high schools; public, private, and homeschool cooperatives. And I can tell you the real reason for the shortage of teachers in the Pacific Northwest.

“I didn’t want to get the vaccine because of the safety and efficacy … And so now what that is and what the school district is a secular institution … to request me for a statement of my faith – Iwasn’t going to use my faith at a convenience to keep a job,” Lundy said.

“It’s been over a year now since we’ve actually been put on unpaid leave and now they decide, hey, you know what, let’s go ahead and fire you guys. So I have the same question.”

The teachers said that, even though they could have kept their job at the district by signing a religious exemption, they chose not to get the vaccine and also declined to sign the exemption. Webb said he felt others would take advantage of this exemption, even if they weren’t religious, and that he did not want to be part of it.

“If the convictions of those who serve God with their whole heart were going to be lumped in with insincere lies, then I didn’t want to play the game,” Webb said.

Steven Herron, the Chief Human Resources Officer said that the firings were solely to maintain compliance with state law and not because of any personal feelings towards the teachers.

It’s unclear how many educators in Oregon have retired early or been fired as a result of the mandate.

  1. The mRNA “vaccines” are still “experimental” and are proving to be the cause of more adverse reactions (including deaths) than all the previous vaccines in history combined.
